Do you have direct experience or strong ties to the military? Are you looking for a role where you can offer your own lived experience to support and help change the lives of those who have or are being discharged and transitioning from the Armed Forces?

About Us: We are a “family” of caring individuals who strive to help give people a new focus and a fresh start in life. Our ethos is to ‘engage, connect and empower’ – taking steps that will improve a person’s overall mental health and wellbeing through community volunteering. Our staff provide in-depth, non-time limited support to wounded, injured and sick (WIS) veterans and service personnel across the UK.A partner to the Personnel Recovery Units (PRUs) and many charities, we help people make the transition from the Armed Forces into civilian life.Last year, we were proud to have received a Silver Award from The Armed Forces Covenant’s Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising the special work we do.

About You: You will be an approachable, self-motivated and determined individual with a good understanding of the military discharge processes and work of the PRU’s/PRO’s.As well as physical trauma, many of those referred to us suffer severe anxiety, low self-esteem and a lack of confidence. Struggling to adjust to their new circumstances, they can feel isolated and unable to leave the security of their home.Your role will see you providing one to one support, exploring new opportunities, skills and interests with them and sourcing suitable placements; enabling them to feel a sense of fulfilment and improved overall wellbeing.
