Karin Smyth MP visits our Young People's Allotment in Bristol

Thank you to Karin Smyth MP for joining us at our Young People's Allotment in South Bristol! It was great to talk about the support that we provide to our young people, and the impact that the allotment has on developing confidence, skills and connection.

🌿 We gave the team a tour of our allotment space, including our range of fruit and vegetable plots, pollinating flowers, our slow worm area, and also our tea, coffee and cooking areas. It was fantastic to share our young people's hard work with the team and show how valuable our allotment is to the people we support, and the benefits of getting out in nature for wellbeing.

✨ We also had a chat about our new project 'For My Future', supporting women and girls aged 18 - 24 who have been involved in the justice system, a project which we feel will provide vital support to women and girls in Bristol. It was great to connect ideas and knowledge on this, while we get ready to deliver this programme later this year.

🍵 After a tour around the allotment, we finished as we normally do, with a cup of tea and biscuits!

💚 Thank you to Karin and the team for coming down to see us, we had a great time chatting with you about our work and it was lovely to get to know our allotment's local MP 😊
